With Command Level prompts, you would never be able to change the prompt values with the CR Viewer.

If the report is supposed to be viewed in the CR Viewer and you need the functionality or changing prompt values, try this:

1) Remove Command Level prompts

2) Create the Data prompt in the report from the Field Explorer

3) Create a Record Selection formula like this:

{date_field} = {?Date_prompt}

under Report > Selection Formulas > Saved data

4) Save the report with data

P.S: The report might take a long time to run.

Hi there, I was about to post my own discussion, but this topic is almost similar. Our agency has 125 employees with caseloads (clients in which they serve). Sometimes, clients are transferred/discharged and the staff spend administration time managing this report manually in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) System, which all data is stored in a SQL Database.

All 125 users don't need Crystal Report Designer, but their caseloads are unique to the user, so I need a parameter to prompt them with their staff ID, hit the database, and produce results as they change weekly or sometimes daily.  If I have ODBC connection to my SQL DB, shouldn't the viewer work? If not, what is the solution to have this report template broadcasted within our infrastructure?
